"Ernesto is an Argentinian journalist and poet who spent many long years in exile when Argentina was under military rule. One day he receives a telephone call from his childhood friend Ricardo, who wants to get together for a nostalgic reunion after 25 years. If the former is the image of a pensive intellectual, his old friend is the diametric opposite - a man soon to be fifty, who maintains both his physique and his joie de vivre. For him, life itself is reason enough to celebrate and he still enjoys the strains of '60s rock 'n roll. Ricardo is married to Ana, who was once the girlfriend of Ernesto. The meeting between the adults awakens many feelings, especially in the heart of Ana, who has been depressed these past years. Additional characters revolve around the main figures - a sexy Cuban cellist who attracts Ernesto, Ana and Ricardo's son, whose pursuits are surprisingly similar to those of Ernesto, and more."

"Eliseo Subiela is well remembered for MAN FACING SOUTHEAST (1988 Jerusalem Film Fesatival) and THE DARK SIDE OF THE HEART (1994 Jerusalem Film Fesatival). Now he returns with what appears to be his most personal film to date - a creation as poetic as its predecessors, that rests on the same stylized intricacies, on sensitivity to all issues of design, editing and acting, and mostly on a melancholy atmosphere built on effective transitions between the past and the present."
